I'm a big fan of wines from the Finger Lakes area, but I haven't heard of Weis Vineyards. I didn't know what to expect, because dry Rieslings can be a hit or miss. This wine really took me by surprise. I expected it to be a bone-dry wine, but it was the perfect balance between sweet and dry. It's what I usually imagine when I think of a dry Riesling. There was a hint of sweetness and a nice drying finish to take away the sweetness and showcase all of the ripe fruit flavors. It had all of the fingerprint flavors and aromas of clean petrol, apricot, peach, red apple, pear, honeysuckle, and citrus. The thing that is most memorable is the pleasant long refreshing finish of the wine. This is a great wine to pair with seafood, spicy Asian cuisine, Curried cuisine, and sushi.
